Privacy policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how GrwLocal ("GrwLocal," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and otherwise processes information in connection with our websites (includinggrwlocal.com and its subdomains), our free website and Google Business Profile audits, and the services we provide to businesses (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, submitting information to us, or requesting an audit, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect information from and about you from a variety of sources, including:

  • Information you provide. Your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing/business address, the website address (URL) you ask us to audit, your Google Business Profile or Google Maps link, details about your business, services, and service area, images or logos you upload, payment and billing details, login or access credentials you choose to share so we can perform the Services, and anything else you send us through forms, email, chat, calls, or booking tools.
  • Information collected automatically. Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, search terms, time spent, and similar usage and diagnostic data — collected through cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, server logs, and comparable technologies (see "Cookies and tracking" below), including advertising and click identifiers (such as Meta's fbclid/fbp/fbcand Google's gclid) and UTM parameters.
  • Information from third parties and public sources. Data about you or your business from advertising and analytics platforms (including Meta and Google), data providers and enrichment services, our vendors, and publicly available sources — including information about your business, website, reviews, and Google Business Profile that we gather or generate when producing an audit.

How we use information

We use the information we collect for any lawful business or commercial purpose, including to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and deliver the Services, including generating, delivering, and improving audits and reports;
  • create and manage accounts, process payments, and fulfill orders;
  • communicate with you — including responses, confirmations, transactional messages, newsletters, offers, and other marketing by email, phone, SMS, or other channels;
  • market, advertise, and promote our Services and those of our partners, including through targeted, interest-based, cross-context, and retargeting advertising, and to build and improve audiences, lookalike audiences, and conversion tracking on platforms such as Meta and Google;
  • measure, analyze, and improve the Services and our marketing; conduct research and analytics; and develop new products and features;
  • personalize your experience and the content and offers you see;
  • combine information from different sources and interactions, and create de-identified, aggregated, or inferred data, which we may use and disclose for any purpose;
  • secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms;
  • comply with law and legal process, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to run the Services, remember your preferences, measure performance, and deliver and measure advertising. This includes the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API and Google's analytics and advertising tags, which may collect and share information about your activity — including hashed identifiers such as your email or phone number — with those platforms so we can target and measure ads. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, and you can use platform opt-outs and industry tools (for example, the Meta ad preferences and Google Ads settings, and the DAA/NAI opt-out pages). Because we may honor consent and preference signals only where required by law, some tracking may occur unless you opt out where such rights apply.

How we share information

We may disclose the information we collect to:

  • Service providers and vendors who process information on our behalf — e.g., hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, scheduling, analytics, data storage, and customer support;
  • Advertising, analytics, and marketing partners — including Meta and Google — with whom we share information (including online identifiers and hashed contact details) to deliver, target, optimize, and measure advertising and to build audiences. Depending on your jurisdiction, some of this sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information;
  • Professional advisors and partners in connection with the Services;
  • In a business transaction — such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets — information may be transferred as part of that deal;
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, protect our rights, safety, and property, and enforce our agreements;
  • With your direction or consent, and to any other party where you have asked us to share.

We may use and share de-identified or aggregated information for any purpose without restriction.

Your choices and rights

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link (transactional messages will continue), and adjust cookie and ad settings as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses such as targeted advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of your information. California residents (and residents of other states with similar laws) may exercise these rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and the use of it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us at hello@grwlocal.com. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services, run our business, and for the legitimate and lawful purposes described in this Policy — including marketing, analytics, recordkeeping, and legal compliance — after which we delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Third-party sites

Our Services may link to or embed third-party sites and tools (such as booking, payment, and mapping services). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
